Expansion of a primary school from the 70s. The existing brick building, whose modulation allows us to generate new spaces of variable dimensions, occupies the common and service areas. The new volumes are made up of two clusters of four classrooms around an interior room for shared use and four exteriors, where students of different ages interact.
The space that results in the meeting of both buildings is the central spine of the proposal where children read, eat, play … under large bubbles and coloured lights. The use of double aligned doors allows a fluid circulation where the limits and spatial partitioning are diluted in favour of movement and connection.
